DUhatch connects enterprising students with mentors from faculty and industry, giving them office space, and facilitating business development to help solve the myriad problems a fledgling venture faces.

Selection Process

DUHatch has space allocated for early stage student ventures concurrently, of which at least one will ideally be a social venture. If you are interested in incubation, please contact Dr. Lawrence Boyd at lawrence.boyd@duke.edu or Maahir Shah at maahir.shah@duke.edu to set up a meeting. Membership will be granted for one year up to a maximum of four years, provided that at least one team member is a Duke student at all times. At the end of each school year, the ventures wishing to remain in the incubator must submit a report to Dr. Boyd and Maahir.  Based on this report, we will determine whether or not to allow the venture to continue incubation.
